In order to deliver the FIDE Candidates 2026 at the highest international standard, a number of volunteers will be involved in the delivery of the client-facing services at the event. The volunteers will help build the friendly and vibrant atmosphere at the event and also to maximise the level of interaction and attention that the organisers can give to the participants and guests.
The volunteers get an opportunity:
To become the ambassadors of their favourite sport for the local community
To support the delivery of the Candidates tournament
To see the top chess players in action
To obtain experience of working in an international event

Previous experience of volunteering at sports/cultural events is an asset
Chess knowledge is an asset
Punctuality, reliability, proactivity, readiness to help and to work in a team is a must
In return you will get experience of organizing an international chess event of top level and see the best chess players in the world live. Uniform and meals are provided. Please note that accommodation and travel tickets are not provided. The work is fully voluntary.
