Format:
9 rounds, Swiss System
Two Groups:
Group A>1800, Group B<1900
Time control:
90΄ for 40 moves + 15 min until the end of the game + 30” per move from the first move.
Location:
Attikon & Palia Ilektriki Multiculture Spaces – Pafos (Google Maps)
Prizes:
Group A: 1st - €1000; 2nd - €600; 3rd - €400; 4- 5th - 2 x €250, 1st Woman: €300, 2nd Woman: €200, 3rd Woman: €100, 1st Veteran +55 years old: €150, 2nd Veteran +55 years old: €100, 3rd Veteran +55 years old: €75
special prizes for Group A participants in combination with the International Tournament “MIKIS THEODORAKIS – CHANIA”
Group B: 1st - €200, 2nd - €150; 3rd - €100; 1st Woman: €100, 2nd Woman: €75, 3rd Woman: €50
Players are only eligible for a single prize.
PARTICIPATION FEE (according to FIDE standard rating on the 1st of April 2026):
Free – Players with ELO above 2400 + titled players (GM, WGM, IM) and Women Chess Players with ELO above 2300
30 € for players with ELO 2300-2399 (Women with ELO 2200-2299)
40 € for players with ELO 2200-2299 (Women with ELO 2100-2199)
50 € for players under 18 years old and for veteran players > 55 years old
60 € for all other players
Players with ELO between 1751 – 1800 can join the A’ group, with extra entry fee of 30 €
50 € for the players of B Group
